Abstract
The author of this book are; Professor Jan Davies at University of Calegary - Canada, and Dr Rod Westhorpe Senior specialist pediatric anesthetist at Royal Children's Hospital – Melbourne Australia. The book titled, “All about Anesthesia” [1] focuses on patients education regarding commonly asked questions by patients regarding anesthesia. The authors, through presenting case scenarios, discussed how anesthesia is given, anesthesia types. The audience intended for this title is basically; the surgical patients, their related loved one parents and similar individual who face situations of surgery and anesthesia. As all advances in technology in anesthesia still there is a lot to be learned by the patients. It helps also anesthesia practitioners and other health personnel to get patient education material for patients under their care. The title is important for international health workers readers as it is increasingly recognized as increased demands of information in anesthesia throughout the world. A health worker has to adapt to changes in patient right to know.
This introduction to medical ethics comes in response to increased desire to get in depth knowledge of Physician - patient relationship regardless of technical aspects. We are witnessing that the relationship is more complicated and far from just giving therapy and relief ailments. It is far from merely medical science application. The relationship between patient and therapist is not only in various controversial issues like the start of life and end of life, organ transplantations and end of life care, But it is related to patient autonomy, dignity and consent.
