This is a very informative textbook on salivary gland written by very famous and experienced surgeons and pathologist.

The book contains thirteen chapters .The first chapter contains the Embryology, Physiology and Surgical Anatomy of the salivary glands. Chapter two contains different types of infections affecting the salivary glands and their management, chapter three contains the diagnostic methods of the salivary glands, from simple approach to the different imaging methods. Chapter four concentrated on different types of cystic lesions of the salivary glands and their management. The salivary stones well written in chapter five , while the systemic disease affecting the salivary glands were written in chapter six, like Sjogren’s syndrome, Mikuliczs Disease, Sarcodosis and Sialosis amongst others.

Tumours of the salivary glands was well written in four separated chapters they covered all types of tumours and their management. Small to major trauma and injuries affecting the salivary gland were well covered in separated chapter. Also this textbook covered the hereditary problem and rare disease affecting the salivary glands in chapter thirteen.
